Our client is a New York-based holding company focused on investing in the launch of a rapidly-growing new product to conquer the UK market. This dynamic company is led by a strong management team and is expanding its various lines of business globally. They are now ready to commercialize their newest product, the CBD Vape pen, within the UK market (retail). Country Director UK

Position:
In this role, you will be responsible to commercialize the business of our client in the UK. You ensure the success of the expansion into the UK — overseeing all aspects of the business. In order to succeed in this position, you need to be highly driven and agile and have an entrepreneurial passion to build a business from the ground up. Initially you will be tasked with launching and selling a new Hemp CBD based vaporizer brand within the UK, as the first of many planned launches in Europe.

In this role you will report directly to the board in the US.

Responsibilities:
• Manage every aspect of the newly expanding operation in the UK
• Manage the P&L to ensure corporate commitments are met
• Recruit the best talent in this new market
• Negotiate with vendors and service providers as needed to run the business
• Collaborate with local businesses to acquire all necessary resources and services
• Conduct research regarding the market to understand what success looks like
• Develop marketing and sales teams with local expertise to distribute the product to a variety of retailers
• Collaborate with the leadership in NY to strategize how best to roll out product line
• Work directly with the marketing firm to launch and brand the new company and product
• Network effectively with local clients and develop strong professional relationships
• Manage, test and optimize the digital and traditional customer acquisition strategies

Qualifications:
• Master’s degree, MBA or other advanced degree, strongly preferred
• 10 years or more experience in management in international business setting
• Significant experience in the marketing and/or sales strongly preferred
• Entrepreneurial mindset and background of launching new products and brands in the consumer products space
• Multi-Channel sales and distribution experience – online + retailer + wholesale
• Exceptionally well organized and driven by success
• Outstanding negotiating skills
• Analytical thinker with superior problem-solving skills
• Online and digital product experience
• Solid history of data-driven strategic development
• Decisive and committed
• A natural leader who inspires and motivates those around?

Compensation: Salary levels will be competitive and commensurate with experience and will be coupled with a generous commission and bonus package.
