Global Head of Clinical Research

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, experienced and motivated scientist to lead the Global Research Team. In this position you will be responsible for leading all clinical research activities as well as managing activities associated with performing a clinical trial of cannabis treatments. Additionally, in this position you will have responsibility for scientific aspects of business development, strategic partnering and collaboration with companies, institutions and researchers.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage a Global Research Team and Bioinformaticians to work collaboratively across clinical partnerships, bioinformatics, laboratory, IT and legal/compliance on the studies
· Support the team to develop goals by determining strategy, design and implement scientific and technological processes to achieve platform goals
· Provide coaching and leadership to facilitate drug discovery solutions for projects and also within the lab
· Formulate novel projects and technological solutions for drug discovery by leading multidisciplinary drug discovery matrix teams
· Manage team to produce a portfolio of scientific publications
· Develop and maintain Global Advisory Board
· Liaise with key internal functions regarding communication of Research outcomes with BU team
· Recognize commercial potential and making recommendations on patents
· Identify high-quality external institutions and initiate promising collaborations, soliciting and securing adequate support for collaboration
Qualifications and Education
· Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Neurology or related fields with 5 - 10 years of postdoctoral experience in Drug Discovery
· Strong expertise in conceiving ideas, designing experiments and interpreting and utilizing results
· Experience in collaborating with multiple disciplinary teams
· Demonstrated experience in drug candidate selection
· Excellent leadership and management skills, including supervision and mentoring of teams
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Track record in the development and conduct of high-quality research activity
· Capacity to collaborate internally as well as externally with academic and industry colleagues
· Strong flexibility and positive attitude to embrace the business changing environment
· Highly self-motivated

Compensation: Salary levels will be competitive and commensurate with experience and will be coupled with a generous bonus package.
