Our client is a New York-based holding company focused on investing in the launch of a rapidly-growing new product to conquer the UK market. This dynamic company is led by a strong management team and is expanding its various lines of business globally. They are now ready to commercialize their newest product, the CBD Vape pen, within the UK market (retail). To help grow the organization by exploiting this business opportunity in retail in the UK, we are looking for a

Sales Director

Position:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of the expansion into the UK — overseeing all sales deliverables. In order to succeed in this position, you need to be highly driven and agile and have an entrepreneurial passion to build a business from the ground up. Initially you will be tasked with launching and selling a new Hemp CBD based vaporizer brand within the UK, as the first of many planned launches in Europe. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a strong business acumen. As a dynamic self-starter you can create sales opportunities through e-commerce, retail and wholesale channels.

In this role you will report directly to the Country Director UK.

Responsibilities:
• Full accountability for the country revenue and profit goals including establishing annual targets, closely tracking progress and developing contingency plans
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts, updating as needed
• Establish Joint Business Plans with top retailers and wholesalers to ensure common goals are defined and strategies are in place to meet or exceed these goals
• Develop a multi-level engagement plan with buyers and executives on the retail side to establish collaborative relationships
• Negotiate and close agreements/contracts with customers
• Identify incremental sales opportunities to broaden revenues and customer base to exceed goals
• Track new targets and emerging trends through direct customer contact, conferences, website inquiries, cold calls, etc.
• Identify and capitalize on opportunities to drive brand awareness, performance and market share
Qualifications:
• BSc in Small Business or other commercial studies
• 7-10 years’ experience in sales and minimum 3 years in a leadership position
• Fluent English; additional languages advantageous
• Must be able to travel within the UK region frequently
• Customer-oriented with strong negotiation skills
• Strong people focus
• Target-focused and results-driven
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Excellent presentation skills
• Personable and approachable; able to build rapport quickly
• Self-starter; able to motivate oneself and others
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities

Compensation: Salary levels will be competitive and commensurate with experience and will be coupled with a generous commission and bonus package.
